Motherson Automotive Technologies & Engineering (MATE) is the polymer division of Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (MSSL) and was established in 1997. The company is one of the largest suppliers of molded parts, assemblies & module supplier to the Indian automotive industry. MATE manufactures a wide range of plastic components and fully equipped facilities to support customers in the automotive and the non-automotive segments.
MATE specializes in large size injection Molding, blow molding, and IMD (in mold decoration), hot stamping process & Assembly process of Air vents & Door handles which are supported by post molding operations.
Job Profile: Lab In-Charge
• Inspection of molded, assembled or painted parts for defects and deviations from specifications.
• Preparation of PPAP (Dimensions report, Gap & Flush, PCS, MISP, Appearance inspection report & Functional test report & other required documents) and submits to customer as per their requirements.
• Responsible for Operating of CMM Machine (Hexagon absolute ARM 8520-7 Series) and Inspection for Existing & New Products & Validation of checking fixtures with probing or scanning.
• Prepare Revalidation reports as per MISP & drawing standard and done monthly Revalidation audit as per Plan and submit revalidation report to customer on Monthly basis.
• Prepare in house Quality documents like Live OPS, QFS, Quality alert note, WI, ICM for PDI, Lux level monitoring at all stations.
• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
• Responsible for Fixture Validation & Maintenance as per Plan.
• Instruments training provide to all new Inspectors.
• Responsible for in house testing like MFI, ASH CONTENT, Salt Spray Test & Endurance Test (Door Handle & AC Vents).
• Adherence of quality procedures and their implementation
• Measure and record the dimension of components/parts using different measuring instruments like Coordinate measuring machine, Profile projector, Vernier caliper, Height gauge etc.
• Implement quality improvement tools like kaizen, 5s, POKA-YOKE, 7qc etc. at shop floor.
• Responsible for the Layout inspection (yearly) of each product as per drawings needs.
• Interact with customers and attend to their needs.
• Analyze the findings for discrepancy. Tool or mold rectification in case of NG Dimensions observed during inspection.
Job Profile: Customer Support (MSIL)
• Customer quality support For MSIL: Visit customer end, analyze and resolve quality issues, Responsible for timely closer of Customer complaint & warranty complaint with customer.
• To maintain the customer complaints & effectiveness of counter measure with 5W1H, 8D, Why - Why analysis.
• Proactive identified the areas of quality failure & taking appropriate corrective/preventive measures for resolving customer complaints and implementing system for monitoring of process monitoring and action plan.
• Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
• Attend customer audit, visit & IATF 16949:2016 audit.
• Conducting System, Process and Product audit as per IATF 16949:2016 guideline.
• Ensuring implementation of all aspects of Product Quality Assurance and Customer specific requirements.
• Implement final and Firewall inspection setup, Poka-Yoke Identification, Implementation, Process Validation & Continuous Improvements in Assembly Line for better Product Quality.
• Training provided to Operator / team members & other concern people about quality tools & Customer specific requirements.
