The Indian roads carry almost 90% of the country’s passenger traffic due to the increase of population. Statistically, the total no. of vehicles across India from 1981 to 2016 is 191 millions. For construction and extension of highways, revenue is important. For that toll need to be collected from the highway users.
Now a days, toll is collected manually leads to long queue length, more fuel consumption, wastage of time and traffic congestion. To solve this it is necessary to develop a smart toll collection system. We hope this project will eliminate all the problems which the
manual system is facing currently.
