Conducting EHS surveillance to identify unsafe act, condition and at risk behaviors and take them up for remedial measures.
• Preparing and review local EHS procedures.
• Monitor the evaluation of compliance with the legal requirements.
• Appraises the Uni head on the matter of non-compliance with IMS and legal requirements
• Ensuring effectiveness of Permit to Work system, review of work area and approve of work permits.
Random audit of permit.
• Co-ordinate for organizing of safety committee and its effective functioning.
• Provide Training on Fire Safety, Risk assessment, Electrical Safety and LOTOTO.
• Carryout HIRARC for routine and non-routine activity and Hazop for new process.
• Ensure timely reporting of accidents/incidents /near miss in Mysetu and conduct investigation with HOD.
• Ensure all firefighting system are in operating condition and main in good condition all the time.
• Organizes EHS training to contract and company employees. Prepare schedule and provide topic of daily
safety talk and ensure effective implementations.
• Organizes campaigns, competitions &promotional activities to enhance awareness on EHS Requirements.
• Assist Head-EHS in day to day activities of Environment, Health and safety Department.
ENVIRONMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Preparation and review of Environment SOP & guidelines.
• Maintain 100% performance of ETP operation as per MPCB consent condition, zero environment accident and injury incident.
• Monitor daily performance of waste water treatment plant in coordination with ETP officer. Day to day
trend analysis and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate for the disposal of hazardous waste by incineration/ landfill at MWML or by sell to registered
recyclers.
• Documentation of waste disposal as per GSPCB norms.
• Coordinate with external environmental agencies for the monthly monitoring of ambient air, vent stack,
noise etc.
• Conduct internal audit for ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 standards.
• Preparation of ETP monthly report and submitting to Corporate.
