- Credit risk assessment for portfolio of Mid-Corporate clients spread across UK to offer new/renew commercial banking arrangements
- Acting as first line of defense and hence preparing credit papers in consultation with Relationship Directors covering summary on industry, competition, group structure, ownership & management
- Responsible for identifying and monitoring early warning signals in respect of their account conduct, financials and other aspects to protect Bank from potential losses.
- Assessing client’s business model, cash flows, funding requirements to device appropriate New to Bank deal structure-facility term repayment mode, security & credit covenants
- Providing recommendations to Relationship Directors basis Credit assessment and then present the Credit papers to Sanctioning team
- Discuss/defend recommendations in Credit Papers with Credit Sanction team
- Monitor the effectiveness of risk controls and risk profile compared to the approve risk appetite by setting Covenants or Internal risk triggers (IRT’s) and flag Early Warning Signs for remedial action & enforcement of lenders right
- Act as Risk Champion to ensure maintain an effective control environment across risks arising from the business, including implementing standards to meet group policies.
