Spillover effect of Lithium prices on an EV Index
Lithium can be regarded as a defining factor in the growth story of EVs disruption.  It is a means to predict and understand the way in which the Indian automobile industry is set to move. Chinese lithium carbonate spot prices were compared with an index constituting India's top 5 EV (OEM) stocks to find relationship between them. The study used models like Regression, GARCH, time series analysis, Holt-Winters Model on Excel/ R Studio for the same. The study's findings can serve as a roadmap to assist investments into electrification of Indian roads.
