  • Spearheaded international advisory practice in other countries through deep dives and workshops that focuses on Sustainability, Housing, Water, Transport, Greenery, Building Control and Planning. For e.g. working with the Andhra Pradesh government on the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh, facilitating the geospatial information system deep dive workshop for Ho Chi Minh City and the capability development workshop for the San Carlos City government.
  • Leading the delivery of the City Executive Leaders Programme and increasing the number of sessions to 10 sessions per year from 4 sessions per year. We transform the perspectives of more than 2,000 Singapore public officers by reframing how they could tackle different built environment issues such as Transport, Sustainability, Housing, Water, etc. We also help them to identify strategic issues undiscovered by siloed agencies and facilitate solution discovery. We focused on training public officers from different statboards such as AVA, URA, BCA, JTC, HDB, NParks, STB, EDB, IE Singapore, MND, etc.

For e.g. doing up analysis reports for sharing within the real estate industry and also creating seminars to increase business opportunities and insight sharing.
  • Transferring best practices in the area of Greening, Building Control and Building Technology to identified Indian states. Target markets (Alphabetical order): 1) Andhra Pradesh 2) Karnataka 3) Kerala 4) Tamil Nadu 5) Telangana. For e.g. advising top India companies such as T.V.S Motor Company in setting up their first real estate venture in Tambaram, Chennai and many others as well.
  • Helping to set up the Construction Productivity Centre which was to spearhead the productivity drive in the construction industry. Responsible for marketing outreach to more than 1,000 companies through various channels such as productivity clinics, industry booths, briefing, collaborations with trade associations and education medium. 
  • Leading the project to design “Basic Concept in Construction Productivity Enhancement” and later arranged for the platform for more than 1,000 built environment companies to come together for yearly certification. Once the project ended, I also became the lead lecturer and project manager for leading the BCCPE recertification sessions. 
  • Overseeing the tender specifications, tender process/ selection and project managing of the Mechanisation Credit Grant portal which allowed companies to apply for grants online. This portal was later subsumed under the Whole-of-government Business Grant Portal.

  • Managing and delivering large civil engineering and tunnelling projects (total cumulative project sum of more than SGD$1 billion), by ensuring that all sub-contracts are carried out accordingly to schedules, within cost and without any conflicts. For e.g. monitoring construction progress of steel structures and ensuring timely order of concreting materials ahead of schedule while quickly coordinating with the electrical and internet cable suppliers for the next work sequence.
  • Working with stakeholders to manage their expectations and issues. Stakeholders included local business community, religious bodies, residents, etc. For e.g. attending to owners of buildings that were affected by the deep tunneling projects and proposing solutions to ensure that project was executed as planned.
  • Reviewing construction methods proposed by contractors and working with them to improve the sustainability aspect of construction projects. For e.g. we brainstormed and reviewed several vendors to include the use of solar panels on respective lamp posts.
