Best Project in PG Degree
In my PG Degree, I worked on a small project related to extraction and computational chemistry for drugs. I worked on a drug named Phenytoin which is used as an anti-sezier agent. My lab group decided to extract the important components to synthesise the drug, out of waste material. We extracted urea out of urine and benzaldehyde from bitter almonds and used Vitman B1 as reagent in the synthetic route of molecule. We used computational chemistry to find out the working of compound in body and various spectroscopic techniques to get various data about the compound. . In respose to our work, we got apperication from our Professors and it was covered by a local newspaper as we presented our work on National Science Day.
