WCL is one of the world largest manufacturer and exporter of large diameter Longitudinal & Helical Submerged Arc Welded Line Pipes in India. As well as WCL has Hot-Pulled Induction Bends& HFW (ERW) pipe manufacturing facility.
Perform chemical, Mechanical &Corrosion Testing as per Approved Inspection & Test plan & Client specification.
Perform & participate in Mill Qualification Test program for various client Like Exon Mobil, Saudi Aramco, Total, TCPL, Qatar Petroleum etc.
Prepare sample preparation plan and data analysis of test result by various QC tools like Bar chart, Histograms & SQC.
Knowledge of various testing performed in line pipe of Oil & Gas sector like Tensile Test, Guided Bend Test, Side Bend Test, Charpy Impact Test, Drop Weight Tear Test, Vickers Hardness Test, Macro Examination, Chemical Analysis, Nick Break Test, Residual stress test, Hydrogen induced cracking Test, Sulphide Stress corrosion test etc.
Carrying out R & D testing for new product developments like, Pre-strain & Aged Tensile Test on different strain levels & at different aging temperature, Pre-strain& Aged Impact Test on different strain levels & at different aging temperature, Un-flattened round bar tensile test at room temperature.
Prepare & update the work instructions or procedure for various testing of laboratory as per relevant standards & test methods.
Familiar with various specifications & Standard like API 5L 46th Edition, API RP 5L3, API 1104, ASTM A370, ASTM E8/E8M, ASTM E23, ASTM E384, ASTM E340 ASME Section IX,NACE TM 0284, NACE TM 0177,Client specifications.
Prepares and facilitates external audits (QMS, Product certification) & Client Audits/Plant Approvals/Qualification like API Spec.Q1, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 29001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025, API 5L, API 2B, SHELL, ENI, Total, GAIL, IOCL, HPCL etc.
To manage workload effectively in order to achieve personal and departmental Quality objectives.
Good working knowledge of company products, processes & procedures related to Line-pipe manufacturing for Oil & Gas industries.
